today we will make masala dal missa parantha.
let's see what all ingredients are required for making missa dal parantha.
wheat flour - 1 cup
gram flour - 1 cup you can even use chana flour in place of wheat flour.
asafoetida - 1 pinch
carom seeds - 1/4 tsp
ginger - 1 tsp (paste) (1 inch piece grated)
red chilly powder - less then 1/4 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
oil - to knead dough and roast paranthas
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
green corainder - 3-4 tbsp (finely chopped)
knead douh fo rmaking masala missa parantha.
mix gram flour,cumin seeds,ginger,turmeric powder,asafoetida,carom seeds,salt,red chilly and green coriander in the flour.
also add 4 tsp oil in the flour.
mix all ingredients nicely.
we require 1 cup water for kneading 2 cups of water.
but it has gram flour mixed.
so .45 or less then .45 cupof water wil be needed.
add little amount of water and knead dough.
keep aside the door for 15-20 minutes so that it gets set.
dough is ready; now start making paranthas.
we are making missa paranthas which are really delicious.
take little amount of dough(lemon size) and make a round ball.
dust the ball with dry flour.
roll into 2.5-3 inch diameter circle.
spread some oil on the top.
lift from corners and close the parantha.
dust it again with dry flour and roll in similar way.
dust again with dry flour and roll into 6-7 inch diameter circle.
spread some oil on top of the preheated tawa.
place the parantha on the tawa.
parantha is roasted from beneath as the color of surface has changed.
flip the sides.
you can make trianhular as well as square paranthas.
keep checking the parantha on tawa.
spread some oil the first surface after it gets roasted from beneath.
flip the side and spread some oil on this side as well.
bring the flame to medium so that parantha gets crusty.
press the parantha the parantha gently and roast on low flame until it gets brown spots on both the sides.
parantha is ready.
place the parantha on bowl,napkin paper or serve directly to the one having meal.
pack masala missa parantha in the tififin of kids.
for this make triangular or square parantha.
take little amount of dough and make round ball.
make round ball and dust it with dry flour.
roll it into 6-7 inch diameter parantha.
spread 1/2 tsp oil on the parantha.
fold it like this into half.
spread some oil on this as well.
fold it again giving it a shape of cone.
dust it with dry flour and roll triangular parantha.
place parantha or preheated tawa.
parantha is roasted from beaneath.
flip the side.
parantha is roasted from second side as well so spread some oil on the first surface.
flip the side and spread some oil on the other side as well.
press gently and roast until it gets brown spots on both the sides.
masala missa parantha is ready.
