Welcome to the UH West O'ahu Library. I'm Pearl DeSure, one of your librarians, and
I'm here to tell you about some of the services that the library offers for faculty members.
This is the library homepage, your portal to all of our services.
You can find the contact information for all of our librarians on the contact page. Each
librarian has been designated as a subject liaison. You can think of your subject liaison
as your main point of contact here at the library.
On the research page, you'll find links to our catalog, and to our research databases.
Our catalog is called OneSearch, and it searches everything we own including books, media,
ebooks, and scholarly journals, and you can use it to place requests on items from other
UH campus libraries. You can also find our periodicals list, and
subject guides that we've created for to help students with their research.
We even have a subject guide for new faculty members with more information about all the
services mentioned in this video. The librarians are happy to create subject guides
for specific courses. Please contact your subject liaison if you're interested.
The services tab has more information on the services that we provide at your request,
such as course reserves, interlibrary loan, and library instruction.
Your subject liaison librarian can create library instruction sessions for your students on library resources and research. These library instruction sessions can be general or tailored
to your course material.
Click on the links on the services page to find out more any of these services.
You can find all of our policies, including the library mission statement, our circulation
policies, and a notice on copyright on the policies page.
And that's the library website in a nutshell.
We look forward to meeting you all this semester -- welcome to UH West O'ahu
