This is Eileen Dey on behalf of Expert Village and in this segment we will talk about the
idea of yin-yang. So it is symbolic of the philosophy of Daoism. It is represented by
two halves of a whole. The dark is the feminine and the light is he masculine. The dark is
receptive and the light is the output. Each piece has masculine and feminine embedded
in it. Each piece represents the polarity of our existence and yet Daoism also understands
that the line between the two, the line between the male and the female is the line of transcendence.
In the middle, so to speak, there are no difference, there are no barriers, there is the whole.
In this next segment we will talk about an introduction to Confucius.
