Connecting your Samsung wireless laser printer to your wireless network directly from the device
using the keypad and LCD menu is fast and easy!
In this video we'll show you how.
First make sure your wireless router is enabled.
You should be able to see your network if you can scan for it through your computer's network settings.
Next make sure your printer is turned on.
Now you want to press the Menu key, and scroll left or right until you see the Network option.
Press Enter, and scroll left or right until you see the Wireless option.
Press Enter again, and you will see an option called Wi-Fi On/Off.
Wi-Fi should be on by default, but go ahead and check to make sure it's enabled
Now keep scrolling until you see a menu option for WLAN Settings.
Press Enter and select the Wizard.
The printer will now search for all active wireless networks that it can detect.
Again use the left or right menu keys to scroll through the available choice until you see your wireless network in the list.
Press Enter when you have found your network.
And if you have a secure, password-protected network, you will be prompted to enter your password.
For WEP networks, you will need to choose whether it is an open system, or one that uses a pre-shared key.
You will also be asked to choose between 64-bit and 128-bit encryption.
If you have a WEP network, please refer to your router's manual to determine which option to select.
For more common WPA or WPA2 networks, you will just need to key in your password.
You can use the number keypad like you would on a touch-tone telephone to enter your password.
Each key will cycle through the letters, followed by the numbers.
Press the right menu arrow after each character to move on to the next character.
Use the "1" and "0" keys if you need to enter special characters such as an "@" symbol or a period.
When you have entered your password press Enter twice to apply.
If successful, the printer's display will show "Connected" and the WPS button will light up a solid color.
Congratulations, your wireless printer is now connected to your wireless network!
Please install the drivers that came on the CD with your printer.
