I'm Paula McKeehan. I'm registered and licensed dietician and also an assistant professor
here at Tarleton. I teach food nutrition courses. I started here as an adjunct in 2005 and have
really enjoyed being a part of the Tarleton family. My husband is a graduate of Tarleton.
An interesting thing that is very special to us in the Tarleton is in '07, our second
daughter, Aiden, was born, and she's actually -- we considered her our Tarleton baby. She
was born Homecoming Weekend. At the time we were living in Mineral Wells commuting, and
we had her here in Stephenville. And it was the weekend of the Mineral Wells -- Stephenville
football game, and we got stuck in traffic trying to get to town. The second thing that
happened is that we got stuck in traffic trying to get to the hospital because the Homecoming
Bonfire was getting over with. So Aiden was born about 5 o'clock in the morning, about
5:45 -- just as everyone was getting ready for the parade. So I was able to call and
tell my friends and my colleagues that we had a new Tarleton baby just as they were
getting lined up for the parade. I enjoy having my children up here. They love being a part
of campus and being a part of Tarleton, and Aiden, of course, thinks that Tarleton is
her second home because she's been here since birth. So that is something that really helped
me really feel a part of the Tarleton family.
