By now you should have a user profile complete enough so that your customers know who you are, but just as
important is that they know exactly what you do.
To do this you have two possibilities, both accessible from the "Activities" menu:
either find an activity written by another member but that you also carry out, and just join it;
or write a new activity from scratch.
However, the new activities that you write have to bring something really new.
It wouldn't be useful for customers to have dozens of activities that are essentially the same thing.
Imagine, for example, how many members could carry out an English guided tour of the Vatican Museums.
Besides, you can search for activities written by other members that can give you good ideas for your own
activities or that, for example, you can translate into any of your languages in which it is not yet available.
So, let's start by learning how to search for activities, so we can base ours on them, translate them or we want
to check that they have not been entered yet.
In the "Activities" menu, choose "Activities search".
Enter the language in which you want the activities you are searching to be written.
This is essential because the same activity, if it is written in a different language, must be considered
completely different, since the clients for whom it is intended will not be the same.
The same applies to the locations where the activity takes place.
Obviously, although two activities written in the same language consisting, for example, in jet ski rentals,
may seem the same, they will be considered different as long as they take place in different locations.
Note that a client, for example, on a beach in Rio de Janeiro will want to rent a jet ski there, and not on
a beach in Salvador, and vice versa.
You can establish whether you want the activities you are searching for to be carried out in exactly
the location you enter or within a certain radius around it.
Obviously, first you have to determine the country in which you want to conduct your search and then
the particular place in it.
As in the case of languages, you can include as many as you want.
Although not required, you can limit your search by ticking a particular service type.
And finally, you may further refine your search with certain words that you want to appear in the text
of the selected activities.
On clicking "Search" you will proceed to the second section of this page.
There you will find the list of activities that fulfil the conditions that you have requested.
Also, for your convenience, these conditions will be recorded so that, even if you close your browser,
the next time you can continue working from where you left off; you'll proceed directly to this section.
As you'll see below, you can also create your own selection adding activities to your favourite list,
which you can access from the third section.
And you also have a link to go directly to the last activity that you have visited.
Anyway, what you're seeing now is the basic information that will help you identify the activities, but to have
access to all their data, you should click the "More info" icon.
Here you will see all the information related to the activity and, if you want to have it always
to hand, although you do a new search with different conditions, click on the "Add to favourites list" link.
Remember that you should not use the "Back" button on your browser, so the quickest way to further examine
the list of activities that you needed is to click on the "Return to the list of activities" link.
In the case that you don't find any activity that you can join, or that you can not reuse by translating it
or adapting it to another location, you'll have to create and write up your own activity.
For a start, make sure that the location or locations where your activity takes place are on the list
of the corresponding country.
Otherwise, by clicking the icon above the list you can go to the page that lets you add new places
in the database.
Here you should select the country, the nearest place you can find in the list and then
set the location of the new place on the map;
finally entering its name in all languages of the list that you know.
You can always access this page at any time from the "Activities" menu.
But let's return to the publication of your activity.
As mentioned, choose the appropriate place in the list of the country.
Then choose the language in which you are going to write your activity, as well as a title for it that must be
really descriptive, not ambiguous.
As we already suggested when we spoke about writing the description for your profile, in this case we also
ask you to write an introduction and a full description of the activity in your word processor,
and review them carefully.
Finally, when you are satisfied with the result, copy and paste them into the appropriate fields
of the form.
To write them, follow the instructions on the screen and bear in mind that these texts could be used for any
other member who may want to carry out the same activity.
The facts related to your personal way of carrying out the activity, such as collection points, duration,
price, etc. will be entered in the "Member information" section, as you will see later.
Then, you can enter a non-working period for the activity, if any, such as, for example,
visiting a Patagonian glacier during austral winter.
Finally, in this section you should also tick the service or services that fit this activity.
Of course, it is not possible to tick any service that you have not declared on your own profile.
Now we've finished this section, let's proceed to the next one.
This section is intended to provide warnings especially important for any customer who wants
to carry out the activity.
For example, if you realize that it requires one to be especially fit, a minimum age or any certain
specific circumstances, such as knowing how to swim, in the case of certain water activities,
or to own certain equipment.
You can leave it blank or enter as many warnings as you want, but keep in mind that they should always
be general issues applicable to the activity itself and therefore suitable for any member who could
carry it out (not specifically related just to you).
In the following section you can add photos to the activity, but you must add them one by one,
pressing "Modify" each time you choose a photo from your hard drive.
Also, if you uploaded a video to YouTube about the activity, you can paste a link to it here.
Finally, in the "Member information" section you have to enter information about your particular way of doing
the activity, i.e. all those elements of the activity that are unique to your way of carrying it out.
For example, its duration, which let's say is 2 hours and a half.
The minimum and maximum size of the group you allow, in case you have any limitations.
For example, a maximum of 10 people.
And the rough rate for the activity.
We recommend that you enter the basic price for it.
In the personal comments about the activity you can further specify your rates as well as any other details
that you consider relevant to your particular way of carrying out the activity.
Of course, do not forget to press the "Modify" button to record the data.
You can check again each section
and make any changes you consider appropriate
pressing again the "Modify" button to record it.
Later, if you want to make any changes, you just have to access editing your profile, and go to
the "My activities" section.
Or choose the shortcut to "My activities" that you'll find on "My TWP" menu.
Along with your personal comments on each activity you can find the icons that let you unlink the activity
if at any time you'd stop carrying it out (this will have a definitive effect when you press "Modify").
Edit your personal information on it (you also need to validate any changes by pressing "Modify").
And, if you are the author, this icon will take you to the page for writing activities but with all the data
already filled in, allowing you to easily modify the general information about the activity.
