Oh yes, we have all heard the commercial before and
because spring is in the air many of you have already
fired up your air conditioning units. We want to know
is everything working properly or are you interested in,
oh I don’t know, saving some money on your utility bills.
Well, of course we are all looking to save money.
Joining us this morning to tell us how is the general
manager at Jerry Kelly Heating and Air Conditioning;
we have Steve Miles joining us.
Thanks so much for being with us.
Thanks for having me Angie.
You have a couple of deals for our friends at home
and we really want to talk about A/C of course because spring is in the air.
Feels like summer, let’s just be honest.
But, tell the folks at home how they can save money on their A/C tune-up.
Well studies have shown that keeping your air
conditioner clean can save 25% off of your cooling bills.
Which is a big deal. A big deal.
This is a standard air filter that everybody got in their furnace.
It’s designed to protect the equipment, now if this gets
dirty it wastes energy because your blower has got to
work harder to move the air through.
However it is not designed to clean the air.
A little bit of sugar packet, it goes right through.
It’s not designed to clean the air.
We have high efficiency air filters like on the other
hand that are designed to clean the air and keep the big particles out.
And right here there is nothing there, so. Exactly.
Ok, so it’s important to get tune-ups right?
Absolutely, it saves energy and it’s a safety issue.
What does that all entail, the tune-up?
We go over all the electrical components, we check the refrigerant
charge, we check the air filter, we check the air flow,
and we make sure everything is working properly.
How often should you be getting tune-ups?
Manufacturers recommend annually, because that keeps the
efficiency up and it is a safety concern.
These are appliances that can cause problems if not maintained.
All right so regularly how much is an A/C tune-up? $134.
How much are they today? $39.
Wow, that is great. Ok, well we all want to save money on utility bills.
Absolutely. How do we go about doing that? One of the ways is
a programmable thermostat. If you set the thermostat back when you are not at home,
you are not wasting energy cooling a house that is unoccupied.
This is a programmable thermostat that you set for when you are
away, when at home, weekdays, and it will save you up to 10%
on your utility bills. This one also comes with a lifetime
warranty if it ever fails as long as it is on your house we’ll
replace it for free.
Really, that is some great news, how much is it regularly?
$256 installed and programmed. Installed and programed, that is steep, How much is it today? $59.
Wow, alright we’ll, and I am telling you what, and your
open 7 days a week. 8am to 8pm 7 days a week with 24 hour
emergency service but we want to be convenient, we want to
be there for when the customer isn’t working so they don’t
have to take a day off work to wait for the repair man that may not come till whenever.
So we schedule appointments two hour blocks and were open 7 days a week.
That is great Steve, that sounds like a deal to me. Folks if it is
enticing you hop onto our website, Fox2Now.com We linked up the deal
in the in segment portion with all information you need to know to

service area just because the St. Louis area is so big
so get on the web site and check the locations.
Just want to make sure you are in that zip code.
