Hello! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Bryan Pemberton from the Reserve at
Spanos Park. Today we are talking about putting and actually we are going to talk about misses
here. When you are actually hitting a putt and you are determining your line, when you
are reading it and you actually favor one side or the other, again you are always going
to want to favor the high side and you are not really ever trying to play a ball where
you are missing it. One of the reasons we actually always favor the high side of the
putt and the high side is basically the upper half. So if this putt is breaking from right
to left, if you missed it on the right side that would be favoring the high side. A ball
that misses to the low side; again one of the things that you realize if I miss a ball
on the right side or left side, it is still a missed putt. But you are going to find that
a ball that misses on the high side is always going to be a closer putt than a ball that
is on the lower side. So again if you are taking a putt from 15 or 20 feet and you are
favoring the high side, you are actually going to have a closer next putt than you will if
you miss it on the low side. Let'*** a putt here; let's see if we can miss one on the
left side and we miss one on the right side. Here we go, better.
