Today we are having lunch at a place called Strandhotellet here in Dalsbruk, Finland.
We are going to be trying some local foods centered around salmon.
I'm really excited about the pizza. I've never had salmon as a topping.
For our appetizer we ordered some smoked salmon with dill on a nice piece of rye bread and
we've also got a really tasty potato salad over here. A big bite.
The salmon keeps getting better and better. That is probably the best bite of salmon I've
had since I've been in Finland.
Here is my wonderful thin crust pizza. Come have a look. It has lots of tomatoes, cheese
and greens. I think a few things got lost in translation because we were under the impression
that it was going to be a salmon pizza. This looks just as good. Let's dig in.
How is that? You're going to like this a lot.
So what really makes this pizza delicious for me is the cheese and the olive oil drizzled
on top. That is so tasty.
Okay, so up next we're trying the chocolate fondant, which has strawberries and cream.
Try some strawberry too. Look at the inside. Nice and gooey.
You can tell it has just been baked fresh out of the oven. It is so decadent and sweet.
That was a really nice meal at a local cafe. The place was recommended to us by one of
our local contacts and we really enjoyed the food. It came to 27 Euros and considering
we got a entree, a main dish and dessert we think that is a pretty fair price for Europe.
Yeah, we ended up sharing everything. Yeah, and we are stuffed.
