So I'm going to be doing a 5-day juice cleanse and I'm making a video diary because I have
no idea how it's going to go.
I decided to do a juice cleanse because I ate a ton of food over Christmas time and I
feel like a gross person. And I feel really bloated and just all-around unhealthy. And
I'm going down south in three weeks. So I'm hoping that this juice cleanse makes me feel better.
I'm doing this challenge with three other people which is very important in that I can't just
give up.
We're gonna be doing the Reboot with Joe 5 day cleanse. He's the Australian guy with
the documentary on Netflix... Maybe you've heard of him... It's a good documentary.
My expectations for this cleanse are that I'm going to feel healthier, my skin is
going to clear up, I'm going to be less bloated, my hair's gonna wash itself, my body will
turn to muscle, I'm going to know how to speak Portuguese, I'm just going to be a
better person.
I know there's going to be side effects so I'm prepared for those. I will probably go
to the bathroom 24/7 - that's going to suck. I'm going to be grouchy - no big deal for
me. I'm worried I'm going to hate all these drinks. It's been -40 this past week so I
think I'm going to really miss eating warm, solid food. And I guess I'm just worried I'm going
to hate life overall.
I did my groceries today too and it's a little bit pricey. I bought as much organic stuff
as I could. Let's check out what I bought.
Mint. Basil. Parsley that looks half dead because I bought it at the Superstore. Ginger. Apples.
Organic oranges. Organic lemons, regular limes. Nectarines, because I couldn't find peaches.
Watermelon. Grapes. Organic blueberries. A billion carrots. Organic spinach. A thousand
cucumbers. Celery. Beets. Organic sweet potatoes. Eight tons of Kale.
This is my juicer. It's a boss. According to the reviews about my juicer that I bought
on a whim, it's good for beginner juicing. It means I guess there's different levels
of juicing. I know I would definitely be like a beginner because I've made maybe three juices
before in my life. I don't know, I guess like beginner juicer would be like "oh I
juice. Look, it's cheaper and faster." I guess
ibtermediate juicing would be more like this: "mhmm yes, I juice, in between eating quinoa
and chia seeds. Now let's go to Starbucks." And then advanced juicing would be somebody
like this: "of course I juice. I'm vegan and fully-raw. And this is organic cotton." And
then obviously expert juicers are like this: "oh kale, I want you inside me."
We'll see how it goes. Tomorrow's day one and I'm really looking forward to it!
