Constitutional Studies, a new program at OU that makes OU
the only national top-tier university where a student
can focus his or her study on the American Constitution
and its history. The professors are great, they love to teach;
the classes are amazing, the literature that we have to read is
just outstanding and I've been learning so much.
One of the most exciting parts of the Constitutional Studies program
are the student groups, the student life
that goes on with our program.
We have great student groups: the Constitutional Studies
Student Association; we also sponsor a program called the
Society of Fellows.
It brings together some of the most outstanding students at the
University and helps them develop their public voice by sponsoring
monthly dinner debates in which students and faculty not only
develop mentoring relationships, but also interact as citizens in
the same state, in which students and faculty
discuss and debate with each other.
The student groups and the programs that we offer outside of the
classroom are really just great opportunities for people to get to
know each other and develop relationships with people.
It's been said that a nation cannot remain great unless it
understands how it became great in the first place.
And for me, the Institute plays a critical role at the
University of Oklahoma and as a national leader, helping all of us
have a deeper understanding of American history and especially
the history and workings of the American Constitution.
Constitutional Studies: exciting courses, enthusiastic faculty,
great students, the chance to develop your voice
and become a leader. Perfect for Pre-Law,
perfect for anyone interested in history, politics, and law.
Constitutional Studies: the Constitution goes to college, at OU.
