One thing that's really fun to play with in your makeup is incorporating bright and trendy
colors. Now these colors are always changing based on what's in style or in fashion, but
I love a pop of color. Right now I have a really bright orange on my lips, and the main
thing I'd say for trendy colors is if you're going to go bold, play down everything else.
So, I have neutrals on my eyes, bright on my lips. For Bobbi, I'm going to play up her
eyes with a trendy color. So, I'm going to start with a light dusting of a purple shadow.
I'm just going to do a little bit here, because actually, the pop that I'm using is going
to be more in the liner. I'm going to do a nice bold graphic liner on her.
I like to incorporate a little bit of that pop color first. Here's the purple, since
we're playing up the eyes, I'm not going to do too much on her lips or cheeks, but I also
love a nice, fun pop of cheek color, which I think looks amazing and brightens up any
look. Got a little shadow, you don't need too much, but that's about it. Now, I'm going
to incorporate the liner. What I have is a big, jumbo purple liner that's waterproof,
and what I'm actually going to use instead of just applying it straight on with a pencil,
I think it's a little bit easier to use a brush and actually take a little bit off and
then apply. It gives you a little bit of a cleaner look. So I'm going to start at the
lash line, I'm just pulling it outwards.
I actually started at the middle of the eye, but you can start wherever is comfortable
for you. I like to start at the middle because I'm going to do a little bit of a wing at
the end, so I don't want to start there, and the inside of the eye, I like to keep the
line a little bit thinner. So, the middle is a good place to start. It's not too thick,
it's not too thin, you can't really mess up right there. I'm just going through, applying.
This is a beautiful color on her. And I like to kind of pull this side of the eye out,
just because it makes it a little bit easier to get that tip over here. These colors do
change a lot, based on what's in trend, but right now I think this is fun, and the orange
that's on my lip, I love for spring. But there's some other really bold colors that you can
incorporate for other types of seasons.
Right now, these are very spring summery. But I love a nice deep, dark burgundy lip
for winter, it looks amazing. I like a pop of gold, it's really pretty, it's more subtle,
but these are really fun. And the classic red lip is always nice, and that I like to
just pair with a nice black cat eye. And since we're doing a fun pop look, I actually brought
the wing out. You know, it may be a little more exaggerated, but I think it looks really
fun with the look. I'm just going to brush away what fell. And there you have it, a nice
fun pop purple.
