Hi, I'm making a live action movie called Dial 9 to Get Out.
But I feel bad that I don't have any sample footage, so I made this animated
pitch.
The movie opens with a girl named Allison, who's a temp. One night late at the office, she
gets all dolled up to go out with her boss, David.
But before she knows it, she gets attacked by a couple psychopaths. She runs for her
life
but all the exits are locked. So one psychopath stabs her to death, while the other
psychopath films it.
Her boss David never saves her, because her boss David is actually the psychopath
who just killed her.
What an ***. The other psychopath is Michael, David's right-hand man.
Also an ***. But that's just the first five minutes. The rest of the movie
takes place a month later.
Our heroine is named Robin, and she's also hired as a temp at the same company.
The HR woman Charlotte tells Robin that they'll pay her for a week under the table
but she can't tell anyone that she works there. So Robin's like, "Okay, that's
weird, but
I need the money." So this creepy woman named Pamela shows her to her desk
right where Allison used to sit. Robin hits it off with the IT guy, whose
name is Boyce.
But Pamela and David tell her not to get too close to anyone in the office, or she'll
get fired.
So Robin's like, "Ugh, whatever." That night, Charlotte complains to Pamela about hiring
all these pretty girls for David.
She thinks he's just having sex with his temps, so she wants to blackmail him.
Pamela, on the other hand, might know what David's really doing to these temps
because she's an ***. The next day, Robin and Boyce notice that the company
server's all screwed up.
So they look and find the first half of the video of Allison's ***. Michael
uploaded it - "whoops" - but he deletes it before they can see any of the bloody stuff.
So they're all, "Whaaat?" and they send a freeze frame to Charlotte, asking, "Hey,
whatever happened to this Allison chick?"
Charlotte gets gets a little creeped out, so she tells David that there's something fishy going
on.
David's all, "No there's not. Now here's a raise." But later that night
David decides to deal with Charlotte himself. That's just the first half of the movie.
There's a lot more story, including a big bloodbath in Act 3.
I'm trying to raise a hundred twenty thousand by April third on Kickstarter.
I need your help to get this movie made. It's going to be funny and bloody
and scary and smart and unpredictable. If you like stuff like Breaking Bad
and Hannibal
which are all dark and tense, but also well-acted and with good characters,
I think you like Dial 9 to Get Out. Now please help me!
