To make palak vada, first we’ll cut the palak spinach.
Cut the leaves.
Cut them from the centre and join them like this.
Our palak is cut.
Now we will grind the chana dal.
Add the chana dal to the mixer and grind. Grind it to form a thick paste.
Do not add water.
Put the grounded dal in a bowl.
Add cumin seeds, salt, coriander powder, ginger paste, green chilli and red chilly powder.
Now add kasuri methi as well.
If kasuri methi is not available then add coriander leaves or asafetida.
Kasuri methi gives out a good fragrance.
We have mixed all the spices well.
Now add spinach as well to the bowl.
Mix it thoroughly.
All the contents are mixed well, so let’s prepare the vadas.
Heat oil in a pan.
Pick up a little mixture and make a round ball. Give it the shape of a vada.
Prepare all the vada’s this way.
Once the oil is hot, add vada to it.
We have taken mustard oil to fry the vadas.
Mustard oil is warm in nature so it is beneficial to eat dishes made in it.
Any cooking oil can be taken to fry the vadas.
Cook the vada till it becomes golden brown in colour.
Once the vada is golden brown, take them out in a plate.
Fry the remaining vadas similarly.
