Hey everyone, Mike Jenson here with griptiongear.us.
Today I'm here to do a quick review of the Bluedio R+
NFC enabled Bluetooth headset. First I'll start off with a few things that gripped my
attention
Then I'll finish up with a few minor gripes and give you a conclusion so let's get
started.
So, right off the bat, the packaging gripped my attention.
It was really nice looking, it felt like pretty high-quality.
The sync with my phone on these headphones was
really intuitive an easy, the headset feels nice and sturdy.
This joint here locks in place and stays put like it should.
The headphones overall look amazing with the chrome and glossy plastic
Details like the etched 'Hi-Fi' make them look
high end and high-quality. They feel comfortable over my ears and the top my head.
They instantly cut out sounds from your surroundings.
The first song I played felt like I was sitting in a car with 2, 12 inch subs... which really
says a lot for the
bass on these headphones.
The buttons are positioning logical locations which is nice,
and they are easy to push. I like the way it's labeled right and left clearly with a
contrasting color. I was even able to press these buttons with some
gloves on, that was nice.
There's a micro SD card slot
and I was able to test that out by
dropping a couple songs on an SD card and popping it in there giving it a shot.
I had a little trouble getting that feature to work. You have to make sure that
the headphone is powered
off, and then use the secondary buttons on the side here.
Press and hold until a green light comes on and that indicates that you are
in SD card function mode, and once I got that figured out
it's a really slick feature. I really like how its got a standard USB,
micro USB port here for charging. Sometimes you'll get
funky connections and it's nice to have that standard. It's got an AUX cable.
It actually comes with the cable which allows you to plug into any device
whether it's Bluetooth enabled or not. These headphones have an extremely
long battery life.
The spec sheet says 25 hours. I've had them for two or three weeks and haven't had to
charge them once.
I plugged them in once just to make sure that I had
power for when I took them on the go but they really haven't died on me yet.
I've never lost connectivity on these headphones even 50 feet away.
Some headphones that I've used with the phone in my pocket,
as I'm moving back and forth it actually cuts in and out which is really
annoying
but I have not had that problem at all with these headphones.
They've got a nice adjustable size here so it will fit large and small heads.
and finally the NFC enabled feature.
I played around with this a little bit. It's a little tricky.
I have found it cool...
you can have the headphones turned off, you hold your device up to it and wait
for a couple seconds and then it comes on
and turns your headphones on and pairs with your device so that's pretty
cool.
Some of the gripes that I have are first of all,
the fact that there's a short delay with that NFC connection makes it a little
tricky to use.
This extra power button that I already mentioned
was a little bit strange but now that I understand how that works it makes
sense.
These headphones do block out all
sounds, so you've got to use them at appropriate times... well
almost all sound, and at higher volumes
somebody sitting next to you is going to be able to know that you are rocking out
to some loud music, so you can hear a little bit of noise coming
out of the headphones. Of course the fingerprints
on the chrome and glossy plastic is kind of an issue.
Not really a big deal, they still look great unless you are looking
at them close.
There's a
blinking light on the side here that indicates
the connectivity, and if you're listening to these headphones in the dark
then you can kinda see that flashing light out of the corner of your eye,
which can be a little distracting, and then
maybe this just comes with the territory, the style of headphones but they are little
bit heavy on your head.
So what's the bottom line... at Gription Gear we love our music!
We love bass and we were impressed by these headphones.
Producing amazing sound in all aspects of music
we say the Bluedio R+ certainly makes the cut.
Priced at under two hundred bucks, this headset has amazing sound
and is a great deal for the money. I know personally
the second I put these on I tried out a couple songs that I hadn't heard in
a while
and it made me love them all over again. So
go ahead give them a shot. This is Mike Jenson from Gription Gear signing out
