Well I just want to be able to say thank you so much first of all for your service to our
country. Now, I think more than ever, is a time when we need American men and women to
be able to stand up and to defend our country's interests and I think the Marines are the
epitome of that national service. So I just want to say a personal than thank you to each
and every one of you. Secondly, CIA is so proud to be a partner in the Toys for Tots
campaign for making sure that Santa's sleigh has more than enough toys and CIA has been
committed to public service for many many years and I think this also embodies our commitment
to making sure that we are doing our part. We have been teamed together now since 2000
or so and the number of children who have been beneficiaries of this i think grows and
grows every year in terms of hundreds of millions. So, I just want to be able to say, that on
behalf of Kathy and all folks on the team who has really helped make sure that this
is I think one of the most bountiful of our years, in terms of the contributions to Santa's
sleigh thank you again on behalf of the Agency's work force. It's a wonderful, wonderful opportunity
for us to be able to partner with you. I know that I am supposed to give this up, but I've
gotten attached to it (laughter). So, I don't know whether I am, but this just symbolizes
our contribution to working with you in this very, very important and special effort. So,
thank you again for your service. Sir, I would like to present this to you.
"The Untied, States Marine Corp Reserves Toys for Tots Commanders Award. The United States
Marine Corp Reserves is proud to recognize the Central Intelligence Agency for outstanding
support of the Quantico 2013 Marine Toys for Tots program. Your generous contributions
have enable the Marine Corp to bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to
America's less fortunate children. Richard P. M., Lieutenant, United States Marine Corp
Commander..." Thank you so much, thank you.
