To get the most out of this course you should have a little background knowledge. Specifically,
I expect you to know the basics of any version of Microsoft SQL Server. You will need to
have some familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and some knowledge of the T-SQL language.
Things like UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE statements. A great way to pick up this knowledge is SQL
Server 2008 Essential Training with Simon Allardice here in the lynda.com online training
library. Also, in the last two sections of the course we will be running some C# code.
To get the most out of these sections you should be familiar with the basics of C# as
well as the basics of Visual Studio. These topics are covered in C# Essential Training
with Joe Marini also in the lynda.com online training library.
