Now we're riding on a road at Aabenraa, called Dimen.
Basically, a pretty good road. Nice asphalt.
But besides being a climb, it has one more hurdle you'll meet with mixed emotions...
Because at the point where the climb becomes steep, the surface changes too.
And it does that right here...
Poor bike.
(9% gradient here.)
10 kph or something like that.
And then imagine going up this climb at 30 kph - 40 maybe -,
(10% gradient here.)
When I did this climb the first times, I tried to stand up, to increase speed...
But you can't, because if the stones are just a bit wet, the back wheel spins.
Turning left again here...
In total the cobblestone hill is 320 meters long and has a gradient of 8.8 percent in average.
So, here comes the asphalt.
Ah, that was nice.
It's just a stretch of a few hundred meters, but I wonder what would happen in a proffessional field if somebody turned up the pace there?
Phew! Nice being back on the flat.
