I’ve been thinking about getting new boots. Are Ugg boots worth the money?
Ugh. No, they aren’t.
They are very warm and soft. I’ve heard they are very comfortable.
They have no arch support. You’ll be comfortable as long as you don’t walk in them, which
is a waste if you are buying expensive shoes.
You can buy the kids’ size to save money. They’ll expand and fit a smaller adult.
You have to spray them with water-proofer every few weeks because they otherwise act
like sponges.
They’ll last a few years.
The more expensive ones for over $100 a pair may last two years. The cheaper ones fall
apart quickly.
Maybe you ended up with fake Uggs, instead of the real thing. Uggs are easy to slip on
and swaddle your feet in sheep skin and wool.
There is no real impact absorption on the bottom. It is like walking on cardboard.
They’re incredibly cute.
Some people think they are Ugg-ly. The popular sand colored boots complement every outfit
you wear, but they show every scuff and stain, too.
They are incredible warm. And you can pick the minis or the ultra-tall ones to cover
as much of your calf as you like.
They may be warm, but their tread isn’t good enough for real snow and ice conditions.
You’ll wear them both inside and out in the winter.
The shoes are hard to get mended. When they wear out, they tend to get tossed.
You can find decent prices for Uggs online to find a replacement pair.
Most of those are the knockoffs. The real ones can cost close to $200 a pair.
I’m going to get a pair of Ughs.
As long as all you’re going to do is sit there and stand there and look cute, it’s
fine. If you actually need winter boots, get something else.
