So Yin and Yang are Yin and Yang. What's the difference between the two? Hi, my name is
Mark Brinson, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Physical Medicine Specialist and International
Seminar Provider. In this the most I'm going to talk about Yin and Yang or Ying. Yin and
Yang are balance among one another. One is the function of the body, that being the Yang,
and the other is the fluids of the body. Now when I talk about the function of the body,
it's anything that is using energy or an energetic component of it. So when I talk about blood
for instance, the actual movement of the blood, would be the Yang portion of it. When I talk
about other Yang type symptoms in the body, there are some things that are characterize
by activity or hyper-activity. So let's say for instance that I have the symptoms of a
cough. A low cough would be more Yin. Whereas a high cough would be more Yang. A little
bit of a slight sore throat or a slight fever, might be more Yin. Whereas, an extreme sore
throat might be more of a Yang type symptom. There are foods that you can use to encourage
Yang in the body or to balance it out by feeding it more Yin. So, there is no Yin without Yang.
Yang is the functional activities of the body. My name is Mark Brinson, Doctor or Oriental
Medicine, wishing you a balanced day.
