So here is the main destination of today's trip: DUNE DU PYLA
It is the biggest sand dune of Europe.
It reaches 130 meters high and stretches 3 km long.
Where does the sand come from? The fine grains are simply carried by the wind.
The ocean breeze slowly accumulates the sand up to this size eventually.
If we see over there, a dead tree.
This signifies that the sand dune is constantly moving due to the wind force.
As the result, the sands pile over the tress and kill them.
C'mon let's hike up!
Woah, it's quite a hike!
On top of the Dune du Pyla, we could say that we are in between two oceans.
The green ocean, representing the forest.
And the blue ocean, the ocean of real water.
We spent some moment there, looking at people having fun.
This place is really recommended for anybody who wants to visit France.
Let's go, it's time to go down by this way.
We are not going to take the stairs.
Because it's dangerous, we could trip ourselves and fall from the stairs.
Later on, from Dune du Pyle we continued towards Bordeaux.
We stopped in the center to see the Mirroir d'Eau (Water Mirror).
Why are they spraying this water mist?
So we can have a sort of a pond here, that will reflect the image of that nice building accross the street.
However, during a cloudy day like this it would be difficult to have a perfect reflection.
