My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. A wedding bouquet is an extremely personal choice. Obviously it has to compliment
your dress, but today, with all the different flowers in the market place and all the different
colors, one absolutely has no boundaries whatsoever in choosing the wedding bouquet. However,
if one is picking color to go with a white dress, it's a good idea to take at least one
or more of that flower with you to your bridal fitting. Have a friend or the bridal advisor
take a snapshot with it and see if you like the color in the picture against the dress.
There are magazines full of bridal bouquets, and the florist should have some creative
ideas for you as well. And you can take a look at things from 30 years ago, things from
yesterday, and make a decision of what suits you best. There are no rules, except that
when you see it, you should be very, very happy.
