The Profile Polygons of Shells can be edited with all Polyline editing commands that are
already available on the Pet Palette for other Tools. If we click the Profile Polygon of
an Extruded Shell we can see the various editing commands available on the Pet Palette.
If we click an edge, we have the Insert New Node, Curve Edge, Edit Segment Using Tangent,
Offset Edge, Offset All Edges and Extend Neighbor Edges commands available.
These work exactly the same way as in case of any other Polyline in ArchiCAD.
If we click the end node of the Profile Polygon, we have the Move Node, Fillet, Offset All
Edges and Continue Profile commands available. We can use this last command to draw a new
segment for the Profile Polygon and close it for example.
If we are editing a Profile Polygon that is a closed Polyline, clicking an edge reveals
a new command called Remove Edge.
Selecting this command of the Pet Palette will remove the clicked edge of the Profile
Polygon, making it an open polygon again. These commands are also available for Revolved
They are also available for either Profile Polygons of Ruled Shells.
They are available on the Floor Plan, if the Profile Polygon is seen on the Floor Plan.
They are also available in Section or Elevation Viewpoints, although in these latter Viewpoints
editing the Profile Polygon may not be the most convenient because we may not see the
real lengths of the Profile Polygon.
