What if you could learn a simple formula that the top sales people use to not only convert
more customers but to create satisfied life-long customers? A new research study surveying
6,000 sales people reveals a simple three-step formula that you can use in your business
to increase your sales. Let me show you how you can use it.
When coaching freelancers, consultants, and executives, the number one question I get
asked is, "How do I sell without feeling slimy?" I'm Nick Reese, and if you've ever experienced
this same feeling, you're really going to like this formula.
The formula is: teach, tailor, and take control. It's the three T's of selling.
The first thing you should do before any client call is, first, do some research about the
client. Find one or two key insights that you can teach the client that they may not
know about their business.
The second thing you should do is focus on tailoring your efforts to their business.
Show them how what you provide, what services you provide, meet their needs.
Step three is to take control of the conversation about money. This is probably the most important
step. Most consultants, freelancers, and executives tend to shy away from talking about money,
but when you talk about money, focus on the value that you're driving into your potential
customer's business. It's the value; it's not the cost that you're delivering.
At the end of every client discussion, I always want to leave every client thinking, "Hmm.
I never thought about my business in that way before." If you can shoot for that, you
know that you're nailing the three T's of selling.
