As part of my dissertation research I have placed 225 camera traps
around that 1,000 square kilometers study area
when you're driving through dry river beds and across
aardvark holes it feels like a lot! So yeah I get a lot of photographs
of animal faces animal noses they're incredibly curious
it smells it felt like people it sounds like plastic and
it might make a little tiny noise when it takes the picture
some of the photos that we get on these camera traps are phenomenal
some of the very rare things that I've seen so far have been
I single lioness taking down a zebra and
a hartebeest mating, porcupine's mating
hyenas and jackals and lions all interacting
at a kill,
A jackal chasing a bat-eared fox
just like crazy interactions!
I drive out to the Serengeti day in, day out out for months on end and don't see some
of these things and so they're just
sort of the candid camera Serengeti
