When picking a college you’re not just thinking about your next school,
you’re thinking about your next hometown.
UofL and the city of Louisville make up the total package.
I love this city, there’s so much to do here and there are so many opportunities.
Louisville definitely felt like home the first time I was here and
over time has just become my 2nd home.
Some of the things that make the city a great place are the shopping areas,
Bardstown Rd, the malls as well,
all the small little nitches you can go to.
Bardstown Rd. is awesome, so many cool little shops there.
All sorts of little coffee shops, little vintage clothing shops.
It’s a really cool place to hang out and spend the whole day there.
I’m close to like four parks and I’m two miles from downtown as well.
There are many hot spots in downtown Louisville.
One of them being 4th Street Live!
4th Street Live has many really cool restaurants,
even a bowling alley for students to go to on the weekend.
Churchill Downs is only minutes away from campus,
home to the Kentucky Derby, which here is Louisville,
we celebrate for weeks.
It begins with Thunder over Louisville,
America’s largest fireworks show.
The most exciting part about having a campus in a large city is that it never really gets boring.
Something that’s really awesome about Louisville is the people themselves.
We’ve got the whole Southern Hospitality thing working for us.
People are really nice here and they’re kind.
If you’re thinking about coming to the University of Louisville,
you should definitely come here, meet the people, see the University,
and get to know the city, because I can guarantee you,
you’ll fall in love with it too.
It just has a charisma to it that you can’t really explain unless you come here.
It won’t take long for Louisville to feel like home.
