My name is Abby Jones. I'm talking about the process of moving into a new space and how
to make your new space functional and efficient. Right now I'm standing outside my closet.
And talking about ways to store your miscellaneous items. So some of the items that you might
have that fall under the category of miscellaneous, might be belts, and scarves, handkerchiefs,
hats, those kinds of things. So I have a couple of ideas for how I usually store my scarves
and other miscellaneous items. This is how I like to store my scarves. Particularly in
the winter when I have out a lot more of them. It's a great way to conserve space and keep
them neat and easily visible. So you can get one of these racks actually meant for hanging
pants and just use it. Put your scarves on it and then hang it in the closet and it doesn't
take up hardly any space at all. And another place where I have some of my smaller scarves,
is in this drawer in the back of the drawer. I don't use these as much. And I use them
more in my hair as opposed to the larger shaws. So I have those back in this, in the back
of this drawer folded up nicely. So if you have drawer space, that's another great way
to store scarves. I'm also utilizing these S hooks which can be used also for scarves
and you know, possibly the smaller scarves would be great for hanging over them. But
I'm using them for to hang my belts which I find really convenient, because the belts
just slip right over the S and I have two of them just so that I don't have to sift
through a lot belts to get to the one on the bottom. Another great tool for organizing
your closet are hanging baskets. Which this one I was actually using in my kitchen in
my last place. But I'm finding that I need it more, I have more of a need for it in my
bathroom and closet space at this place. And so I'm actually going to be adding a hook
into this shelf. Probably about right here. And I'm using it to keep my hats. So it's
great because it contains my hats and also uses this space that otherwise wouldn't be
utilized. So, and again, anything could go in there, scarves, you could roll up your
belts and put them in there, hair do-dads, any kind of thing could go in here. Just whatever
you need it for. Another great utilization, useful tool is this hook that goes on the
back of doors. So, my closet doors are not the best for this because I have this kind
of sliding door. However it will fit on the outside if I wanted to fit it right here and
hang bags or scarves again, or belts, anything that hangs. This is a great tool, just depending
on your space and your needs.
