James is going to be there.

>> Thank you.
During my years as a school
psychologist, I had the
privilege of being an advocate
for special needs children and
their families.
Now, as a second grade teacher,
I welcome students with special
needs into my classroom.
When they come to school each
day, I want all my students to
know they will be accepted and
cared about.
I strive to foster and nurture
some compassion in them for each
other and show kindness towards
one another.
We are also a community of
learners who have fun and laugh
every day.
When my students look back on
their time in Mrs. James' second
grade class, I hope they will
remember feeling cared about,
confident, and compassionate.
To quote Carolyn buckner, they
may forget what you said, but
they will never forget how you
made them feel.
Thank you.
I'm very honored to receive this
award.
