Hi, I'm Claudia from Ideas para Regalos blog, the blog of hazregalos.com
Today we continue with our Christmas decorations, in this case I have prepared an ornament to the door.
It's very nice, is made with ribbons, forming a loop, and some ornaments in gold and green hay.
It is very easy to do, I'll start teaching you how to do the loop,
and actually is very colorful and looks very well in your door.
These are the materials you'll use:
We need tape, this is 6 cm wide, and I cut 4 strips of 36 cm.
We also need a 35cm strip of another color, which combines good with the other one.
And two strips of 25 cm, in the same tape we'll do the loop.
We will also use this green hay, which is widely used for Christmas.
I have used these Christmas balls that have a small ornament. And little bells.
I also used this bells in the napkin rings I made for the table, and I like they to have something in common.
and gold thread. Sorry, golden cord.
Let's see how we do it. First let's do the loop.
Need 4 pieces of tape 36 cm. Let's find the middle,
and let's unite in this way, we took it to the middle.
and you have two options: you can sew, which is what I do;
you'll see it's easy, you need not be an expert in sewing. Or else, with fabric glue, paste it here to the center.
Is to not disassemble this union that we are going to do, to do after that the loop.
As you see it is up and down, up and down, and a knot in the end of the thread,
And one more pass to ensure the end. We cut it, and that's it.
Then, we have four pieces just sewed.
And we will join them in this way. First of all take a piece of gold cord, because we will need it.
What I have done is creasing it a little
and we will be arranging it in order to they look like this, forming the loop as you saw in the final work.
This is mostly for the loop is fuller.
And so are all the ends of the loop.
When we have it, does not have to be perfect, we will unite it. We spent the cord around here and we're going to tie behind it.
Notice of leaving one end of the cord a little longer, because we will continue using it.
Then just join. With enough force, in order to make it secure.
We will make two knots. And there it is.
Now we will open each of the ends of our loop
This tape, the good thing is that the edges have a small wire inside, then, when you mold it stays as we put it.
Try to use this style tape, is fine.
Look how beautiful is becoming the loop.
This is a bun. It is well filled. There it is. Now let's take the golden ribbon.
Let's crumple it a bit, and we will pass it through the center and we will tie it behind
We want to stay two tails of the ribbon, then we will make the knot carefully
in order to that the two tails stays with the same size, in the same side.
Always the side of the tape that is going to pass to make the knot should be a little longer.
You see here I have one a little shorter, then this is which is going to turn around.
And because there we lose a piece of tape, at turning around, when we finished it, they are more or less the same length.
This is a little trick that you should keep it in mind.
Here we see how stays the two tails.
Do not worry because at the time of arming it, we'll fix it.
There it is.
Here we have the two golden tails.
Now with the other pieces of 25cm, I cut the ends so that they are in peak. Simply put them together, fold in half and make a cut with scissors.
I've also sewn on the end joining them.
Now I will pucker it, not much. And let's put it behind. Here.
So here you have two options: Or sew it, as I'm going to do now,
which is simply a small stitch to make it stay together, or you can also use silicone or paste it with what you want.
I prefer to sew because it is more secure, we have no glue hardened as when working with silicone,
but hey, whatever you prefer.
So look, we have the two tails.
There is our loop.
Let's do now the top of the ornament.
We are gonna take the hay. I used a thinner, so I have joined two pieces.
We roll up it well and we will do just a knot. That let us as a small nest.
This will be the base where we will put the ornaments.
The tree balls are going to go through here, we will unite the three, this way.
And we tied it.
Note that this cord is useful.
So now, the idea is that they stay this way. We will it pass through the center, and now we will unite this.
Look, this is the idea of how it's gonna be the ornament.
Now, we join this to our loop, always for behind. This way.
This is going to be hanging on the door, that is why we are leaving the cord long,
because after this we will make the hoop for hanging it.
There it is, our ornament.
Now all that remains is to put the bells, that stays hanging here below.
Let's use again the golden cord again.
As this needs to be a little longer, we'll take two pieces of cord, and we will tie bells.
Of course, you should use the embellishments you want, the colors you want.
I have used gold because they are the colors I chose for this Christmas.
You according to the colors of your tree, even the decor of your home, is how you will put the ornaments.
Now what we do is pass it through inside, carefully.
We will accommodate the bells to make them the way we want.
You can get one longer than the other, that is up to you
And we are going to unite it behind.
I will pass through the center so that they are both hanging.
Here I have my bells with my loop.
And with the cord, here at the end we are gonna tie it, always behind with a knot,
for hanging it on the door.
And we have our ornament over. Our ornament for the door over.
Look how beautiful it is, mainly is the satisfaction of having done it yourself,
and that is to your liking, with the colors you want to use according to your decor. It really is a lovely detail.
Hope you like it, you will be excited to do so, and that your door is decorated in a very original way.
This is my idea for today, I hope you're using them to decorate your home for this Christmas.
See you in the next.
