Welcome to the J. Paul Leonard library skills tutorial!
I am the Library Skills Tutorial naviGator and I will be helping you as
you work through this tutorial.
This tutorial will introduce you to basic information literacy concepts
by showing you how to find and retrieve books and articles,
introducing you to citations, and also,
provide information on evaluating materials that you might come across.
The full tutorial should take about 30 minutes to complete.
Keep in mind that once you begin the tutorial you may not be able to return
to where you left off
if you close the window. To move through the tutorial
use the buttons on the lower right side of the screen. At the end of this
tutorial you'll receive an emailed summary of your activities during this
tutorial
which you can keep for your own records or print out
and turn in to your professor. Be sure to go all the way through the end of the
tutorial to get this
emailed verification. Remember that your library is here to help!
You can get help with this tutorial or general research help and library
assistance
by contacting a librarian. Get help by chatting with a librarian through the
library's
IM service, stopping by the research assistance desk on the first floor,
calling a librarian at 415-338-1974,
or by email at
libref@sfsu.edu.
Alright, let's get started! At the end of this video click the Next button and
enter some general information about yourself.
