What would you say to describe the spirits of Japanese people after the twin disaster?
If I am supposed to say something about Japanese people,
I will mention their cautiousness and precise predictions.
Their cautiousness is pronounced in Japan's architectural construction.
For example, Arahama Primary School that we visited a few days ago,
was greatly affected by the tsunami but its structure still remained intact.
By the time the earthquake happened, snow had been very heavy and the weather was severe,
yet Japanese people always showed their willingness to help each other get through any difficulties.
The most typical example is the principal of Miyano Vocational Highschool.
He was not reluctant at all to let many residents take refuge in his school, 10 00:00:60.000 --> 00:01:05.000 making use of all available materials like curtains as blankets and
fish tanks for bathing after a long time without clean sources of water.
As you can see, Japanese people's fighting spirit never fades away.
They always stand up together to every obstacle.
If I am to express something about the Japanese's qualities,
I will say that their heart is full of love,
especially their love for their own hometown.
That is a really tight bond between them and the place where they live.
Eventhough when their lives are threatened, Japanese people won't part with their hometown!
Even when they were taking refuge somewhere else, the image of their hometown was always on their mind.
To take example, I've been told a story about a Miss named Kaga living in damaged areas.
She herself told me that after having been evacuated, she still wanted to return to her beloved house for the last time,
though she knew as her house was near the sea, it would definitely be badly damaged.
That's why I'm deeply touched by the love of Japanese people.
What will do first when you feel the epidemic wave?
The first thing I can do is to locate the safest exit.
I will stay calm to solve this situation.
Ah! I will seek the place under a table to hide!
Ah. I will quickly update information to find a proper method of taking refuge.
For me, I will immediately run away!
After this trip, we have learnt many basic things to protect ourselves when earthquakes occur.
Firstly, when we feel epidemic waves, either slight or strong,
the most important thing is to ensure our own personal safety.
Secondly, when the waves end, we should at once extinguish any unexpected fire
Next, we shouldn't panic, as panicking only causes more physical damage in many cases.
Third, we should open any door or window to make sure there are certain exits
However, many people think it is best to run out of the house to avoid falling objects.
It is not true in reality because, in that way, we are even more likely to suffer from being hit by those objects.
Lastly, we shouldn't stand by walls, gates or glasses since their fragments can swing out to injure us.
