Congratulations on choosing a Ventura Freestander. We will now show you the best way to assemble
your awning. This job is easier when there are 2 people
Start by spreading your Bolon Carpet out in front of the Motor Caravan. It makes it easier
if you peg the carpet in the corners. Lay all frame poles out on the carpet and
place them roughly where they will be used. See the instructions.
Start assembling the frame by building the roof section.
Add the 4 legs into the roof , but wait before raising it.
This is a better working height Unfold the material on the frame
The Canopy poles can now be connected into the 2 front corners.
The roof is finished Now lift both legs on one side followed by
the other side The Legs need to be placed in the regulator
tabs and the height can then be adjusted Zip in and close all the awning panels then
place the Freestander approx. 30 cm from the vehicle
Place it so that the door is lined up with the door on the vehicle
Now we need to get a good fit between Vehicle and Awning
With the Freestander there are many ways to connect the units
Tie (for example) the awning bag to the guy-ropes to make it easy to throw the ropes over the
vehicle Peg the guy ropes to the ground to make the
tunnel tight over the vehicle and keep the roof taught.
Depending on the model of Motor Caravan, the awning might have to be positioned closer
to the vehicle. Now we start pegging the Freestander
Start pegging the two rear corners nearest the vehicle and continue with the two corners
at the front. Then peg the entire front and both sides
Now we can start pegging the mud flap, it is inside the awning on this model
Peg both sides of the tunnel towards the vehicle with the panels zipped in to get the right
tension in the awning. The rear panel is rolled up and fastened with
ties at the top. The curtains are placed on the curtain poles
before these are put in the loops. Curtain ties are sewn in to hold the curtains
neatly in place You can choose which side of the curtains
you want to face inside the awning. There is a door in both sides of the awning
The veranda pole can be used across the front between the two legs.
Curtains should be laid onto the pole so that the window does lay directly on the frame
Your Freestander is now ready for use More information on maintenance and cleaning
