Hello. Hello.
Can you explain the Auto-light project? The Autolight project is a project to help
conserve energy in this 7-11 store, which often uses excessive energy. I use the light
intensity from outside to allow some lights to be turned off.
So, that's what we are seeing now? yes.
How does the system work? We have attached three sensors. We've installed
them in the darkest locations. Two are installed inside the store, since there are two dark spots.
That's the first sensor.
This is the second sensor. There is also a third one installed out side.
To measure the light intensity outside the store.
How is the system controlled? Let's go take a look.
This is the control unit. It consists of a Raspberry Pi computer.
A PiTopping board to sense and control the lights.
This is an AirCard to send data over the internet. This is a web cam cable to monitor the process.
These three are switches.
Why do we have three switches?
They are used to control the light patterns. The first turns on the lights in rows 1,3,5.
The second turns on the odd lights in rows 2,4.
The third is for the even lights in rows 2,4. The way it works is ..
if the light outside is brighter than 1000 Lux, and the light inside is greater than 750 Lux, the system will turn
of the 1st stage lights. That is the even lights in rows 2,4.
After 15 minutes, if the light inside the store is still greater than 750 Lux, it will turn off the 2nd stage lights (2,4 odd and even)
Lastly, if the light inside is still greater than 750 Lux, the system
will turn of lights in rows 1,3,5, which saves 16 bulbs. This is the highest savings.
Thank you!
