Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen from vanveenbulbs.com. And in this series we're learning how to identify
our spring blooming flower bulbs. We plant them in the fall or most of mine I didn't
even plant until January and they are doing so wonderfully now. And when they bloom we
have no idea what they are. So in this series we are learning about how to identify them.
One of the most traditional flowers is the red parade, it's just a red tulip. But red
is such a vibrant color and it belongs in your garden and it's one of the most dependable
tulips I have because it comes back every year. It's a beautiful orangey red with a
yellow center. And you don't even see the yellow center most of the time because it's
upright. But that's the beauty of a lot of spring blooming flowers, it's actually get
inside and look inside and it looks like a kaleidoscope of color. It's just beautiful,
it has little black seeds inside that just accents the yellow and I just think it is
one of the most delightful red flowers in my garden. Next we'll talk about truly one
of the most beautiful tulips that you could ever find, the Princess Irene.
