I'm going to start with a shadow. It's another really commonly used effect whenever you're
painting t-shirts and names and stuff like that or if you're putting a ball and you want
something to look like it's round and sitting on top of something instead of floating in
space. For instance, if you take a letter, just like what I've demonstrated before, a
nice hard straight line, crisp line, and then you want to do the exact same thing but move
further back and stopping it, now it makes it looks like it's floating over the top of
something. For instance, I'm going to use this roll of tape, another stenciling idea,
you want to make a ball, just pick a side on the inside of it, make it darker than the
other, now it looks round but it looks like it's floating into space. You want to put
a shadow on it, now it looks like it's sitting on a table. There's several different things
you can do if you're trying to make, you can do a double shadow, if you want. Sometimes
you do this with two colors. Now it looks like it's moving, it shows more movement whenever
you do stuff like that. Pretty much, shadowing is one of the most commonly used on anything
that you're going to do because you want to make it look three dimensional. Remember the
skull that I did and I made the shadows around the eyes? It just makes everything pop a little
more and makes it more exciting. Thank you.
