Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and in this clip we're going to talk about the signs
and symptoms that you would find in testicular cancer. Now, a lot of males come in and they
will complain of these particular signs and symptoms. The first thing they'll say is I've
been feeling, I've been doing my testicular self examination, I feel this lump or irregularity,
this formation on my *** that I haven't noticed before and it's swollen or enlarged.
So, that's also a very, one sign that's most commonly presented in these patients with
testicular cancer. But also when it's testicular cancer, it usually only affects one ***,
not both testicles, so it's usually a unilateral, as we would say in medical terms, unilateral
presentation of that symptom only in one of the testicles. Patients also complain of dull
ache in the lower abdomen, that's also accompanies this swollen *** or this enlarged ***.
The key, the differentiation from other infections of the *** in testicular cancer is that
testicular cancer usually presents painless at early stages, so painless but that you
feel sort of a discomfort in the testicles.
