Hello and welcome to Archana's Rasoi (Kitchen)!
Thank you very much for all your feedback! Today I will teach you to make Chicken Schezwan.
Stay tuned to Archana's Rasoi.
Let's take a look at the ingredients that we will require to make Chicken Schezwan:
About 1 big bowl of chicken shreds.
Spring onions around 3-4 finely chopped.
1 small vessel, around 4-5 tbsp of tomato sauce.
Salt to taste
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp soya sauce.
1/2 tsp black pepper.
1/2 tsp Ajinomoto.
1 tsp chilli sauce, 1 tbsp ginger garlic green chillies crush,
Oil 2-3 spoons and water.
Now let's cook!
First, let's heat up the oil.
Around 2 spoons of oil. After it has heated up, add the ginger garlic green chillies crush.
We have taken around 1-2 tbsp of the ginger garlic green chillies crush
Now we add the spring onions.
While our spring onions are being done, let's prepare the other part of this recipe.
Whenever you make gravy in Chinese, take around 1-2 cups of water in the bowl.
We put 2 tbsp corn flour in it.
After that, we're putting 1 tbsp chilli sauce.
Soya sauce 1 tsp.
Black pepper around 1 tsp.
Salt to taste
Then, Ajinomoto around 1/2 tsp.
Now let's add the chicken shreds into the cooking pot.
How did I make these shreds?
We took double the amount of water than of the chicken, added black pepper and salt.
Then we boiled the chicken in water. After it's boiled, we drain the water out and shredded the chicken.
We can use these shreds in chicken fried rice, noodles etc.
We've put corn flour, soya sauce, chilli sauce, salt, black pepper and ajinomoto in the water.
We are making this separately. The reason for this is that if you put it in the hot cooking vessel, the corn flour will get chunky,
And we don't want that. So that's why this mixture is made in a separate bowl.
Now we will add this mixture to the chicken and spring onions in the cooking vessel
We are going to put 2-3 spoons of tomato sauce.
Make sure you mix it properly.
If you want a reddish color to the recipe, you can add tandoor color to it.
Let it boil for a bit.
One tip I'd like to give you here. You can tell the recipe is almost done when the corn flour turns transparent.
After you put the corn flour, make sure you keep stirring so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the vessel and it doesn't get chunky.
This is a thick gravy which you can eat your fried rice with.
The color has changed, and the corn flour has become transparent. Let's take this off the gas.
Steaming hot chicken schezwan is ready! You can eat it with a plain fried rice.
