[Intro Music Playing]
Welcome...to Gray Hair Talking.
When I ask parents what they cherish most in life...
they of course say their family.
So let me welcome you to Gray Hair Talking today...
as we look at "Grand Children."
It was nearly 50 years ago when I held my Daughter & my Son for the first time...
and I knew nothing would ever match the miraculous feeling...
of holding my babies in my arms.
And then about 25 years ago, I learned more about love...
as I held my four Grand Babies...
who were born over the span of just a few years.
You see, my son & my daughter...both had a son & a daughter.
Now the first time my own children threw their arms around my neck with a sweet...
"Mama, I wuv vou!"
I thought nothing would ever match the warmth of those feelings.
And then, my Grandchildren hugged me with a sweet...
"Nana, I wuv vou!"
And I felt those same warm feelings all over again.
I felt such pride and gratitude as our children grew up...
as they found their faith...graduated...got married...
formed their careers...lived a productive life...and then they became parents.
And now my four Grandchildren...all in their 20's...
are following the success of their parents...
and my heart is filled with gratitude, all over again.
Listen to the words of Solomon out of Psalms 127...
"Don't you see that children are God's best gift..."
"The fruit of the womb, His generous legacy..."
"like a warrior's fist full of arrows..."
"are the children of a vigorous youth."
"Oh how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children."
"Your enemies don't stand a chance against you..."
"you will sweep them right off your doorstep."
I am filled with gratitude over the way my children...
and my grandchildren, have blossomed in life.
And I thank God for the Spiritual roots that ground them.
You see children are a GRAND gift from God...
the love we feel for our own children is multiplied many times over...
when our grandchildren come along.
And I feel at times like I can never love any one like I do my children...
...and grandchildren.
But...I can feel the love in my heart...
already expanding because...
a Great Grandson will join our family circle of love...
in just a few weeks...and we praise God for that. [music playing]
[music playing] This is Rachel Solomon, wishing you many grand times...
with all your children, and all the generations in your family.
And I am sending you blessings...from Gray Hair Talking.
