Hi I'm Liz Hood on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to be talking about taking a
baby out on a hike and making sure that they don't get sunburned. Now one thing that you'll
be reading is you are not suppose to put sunscreen on a baby that's less than 6 months old, well
how do you keep them from getting sunburn if you can't use sunscreen. Well one thing
you can do he's over 6 months old he's 7 months old so I can put sunscreen on now, but before
he was 6 months old what I would do is I would dress him in little jumpers and that would
cover his feet and legs and have long sleeves and everything. And you know always make sure
that they have a hat on that will shield there face, little white broom hats are good as
well on really hot days though I like to go without the hat and have an umbrella shielding
everything. I think that's really good now once you can put sunscreen on the baby what
I use is the air bond baby care SPF 30 plus and it's good for sensitive skin like babies
have. And you know do the stuff you usually do for an adult put it on 30 minutes before
you go out into the sun so it has time that really soak in and reapply throughout the
day as you hike and everything cause it does rub off.
