On behalf of Expert Village I'm Nicole and I'm here to tell you about king snakes. Breeding
king snakes is quite simple and its a fun adventure that a lot of hobbiest like to get
into. It's fun, king snakes are are egg laying snakes so if you are breeding your king snake
does lay her eggs the best way to make sure that you have the highest percentage of hatchings
out of your clutch is to incubate the eggs yourself. The eggs come out fairly sticky
they will clump together into one big clump of eggs. You can each gently pull them apart
which is fine but when you pick up the eggs out of the snakes cage then pick them up in
one mess and put them in something like a rubber container or Tupperware of some sort
or a trash can filled with vermiculite and incibate the eggs at 90 degrees. They should
hatch within 10-14 days after being laid.
