Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I'm very glad to see you again.
Today we will draw a chrome sphere.
To help do this circle I'll use this round tray.
With a dark gray marker I start sketching where the dark reflection will go around the top.
You can use a pencil to sketch the shapes of the figures that will be reflected off the sphere.
These will be distorted because of the form.
I'll draw some ground lines that go to the horizon.
And on the left side, a building.
Here some trees and another building.
With a black marker we fill in the darkest parts.
The full list of materials is in the information below the video.
Some light gray to the building.
And also to the ground. This will be like a plaza, or something like that.
We may do the trees with a green pencil.
It also could have been a marker but I don't have a green color, so pencil is ok.
The sky with a light blue and the other building will be a mix of yellow and gray.
(The short building will be reflected on the other one.)
With a white pencil, pastel-like, we can do the brightest reflection of the sky.
It starts looking nice. I LOVE doing this!
With a light blue pencil we do a reflection on the building.
Will do the shadow of the sphere with a charcoal.
And that is because I want to smudge it with a stump, like this.
While the black color pencil doesn't smudge easy.
Let's do some more reflections.
I want even brighter accents so I use acrylic paint.
That's better!
We can soften the edge with white pastel and blue pencil.
Let's simulate some more tree leaves.
With a very fine marker we can do the lines of the building and the ground.
But I don't want them so sharp at a distance so I lose them with a gray pencil.
Let's reinforce the shadow and smudge.
I will also reinforce the lights. And that is because if it is chrome, it needs to be
very extreme on the lights and darks.
I think we should do some touches with acrylic paint to the building,
and a soft reflected light on the bottom of the sphere.
The last details and it is ready!
