My name is Hunter Chambers
I'm halfway through the Networking degree at Wake Tech.
I chose to get my education at Wake Tech
because you pretty much dive head-first
right into the hands-on application.
it was hands-on training at Wake Tech
with actual switches
They give you everything you're going to use -
you get to play with hands-on
I do installs between
Linux, Windows, Solaris
Racking and securing equipment
into the racks,
cabling them,
and occasionally some basic configurations.
A lot of the networking program is
geared towards certifications,
which are what matter most in the IT world.
There's tons of potential, and there's tons of
jobs - the more certifications you get,
the more valuable you are to a company,
and the more you'll make because of it.
If you just continue, some of the higher-level Cisco administrators can make
close to six digits.
I would recommend Wake Tech to anyone, mainly
because they really work hard,
and the people there really care about
getting you a successful job
in the IT industry
