So I am here with Andy Gargot who is the Chair person of the New South Wales LFC Supporters
club. SO I can only imagine how much effort that you've put in on behalf of setting all
this event up it must be fantastic for you. It's brilliant for us to be honest, a lot
of blood sweat and tears go into putting on event like this and it's hard to support liverpool
in Australia with kick-off times at 3am on a Sunday night. and so with Liverpool coming
out, it kinda gives us a bit of a reward for our hard work and commitment and support and
all that and so when The Anfield Wrap told us they were coming out, we were thrilled
because we knew weve got a massive supporter base. Being Sydney where it is there is a
lot of, it's quite a touristy area so you get a lot of scousers, you get a lot of English
that have been to a lot of games so you get a good, really good group so it's great. How
did you get in contact with The Anfield Wrap? Were you fans of The Anfield Wrap for a while?
It's funny, I listened to the podcast and then got to know them on social media, twitter
and that, and ended up just sending Neil Atkinson an email saying I want to write you an article
do you mind publishing it and sending it off and he edited a little bit and a couple weeks
later it was up on their website. It was a big deal and I was just blown away at how
welcoming and polite the lads were to listen to just some radon Aussie sending some random
dribble about football, which is exactly why they're so successful I think. It is a common
interest and a common understanding. Especially for us who are distant from Liverpool and
the football club it can definitely make you feel closer and talking to people from
Liverpool who have been to games on social media and I don't know, it just makes the
world a smaller place I suppose. I completely agree. Well I'm Kelly Forshaw and I've been
speaking with Andy Gargot and this is Red Touch Media.
