Angela from Love To Tell here, and it's Friday night and I am making a beautiful raw salsa
that I'm going to be taking to work tomorrow to share with my co-worker. It's a... We're
working this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and I said to him, "Hey, why don't we have
a picnic? And I'll make the food one day and you can make the other food the other day,
and we'll share." And that got me to thinking about the importance of sharing, which is
what I want to talk about with you this evening quickly. First of all, to tell you what I'm
putting in my salsa 'cause I'm sure everybody will want to know, it's pretty... It's a salsa
that I got out of Joe Cross's recipe book. So, it is one "ginormous" capsicum, look at
that, some spring onions. I've got a whole bunch of cherry tomatoes chopped up in there.
I finally found jalapeno peppers. They are really hard to find here in Australia and
I found some. So, I've got real jalapeno peppers diced up nicely. I'm gonna put some coriander.
I'm gonna put some lime juice all over the top of it, and I'm gonna put a sprinkle of
cumin in there. And then I do put avocado in it.
But I like my avocado fresh, so I won't put that in until tomorrow. So that will sit overnight
and get all nice and juicy in there and then we'll have a beautiful, nice big salsa salad
for lunch tomorrow. And we're going to share it. So, my workmate that I work with, was
very supportive and interested over my raw food journey. So, I said to him, "Well, I'll
make you some raw food for Saturday and you make me whatever it is that you wanna make."
I think he's making a prawn curry for me on Sunday. So, I'm not eating rice at the moment
so I will bring in a zucchini, which I'll chop up to make my rice. And yeah, so sharing
'cause sharing is very important. I've not always been the best sharer. I was an only
child so I learned about sharing a bit later on in life. But sharing has taken a real different
meaning for me as I've gotten older. I love to share, and I love sharing in so many different
ways. I love sharing through story telling and making my videos and sharing my...
Well my juice adventure was really my first series, and I just found it so soothing and
it just felt so great to give information and to share my experience with people, whether
if you take inspiration from it or you've learned something from it or if it's just
entertainment. The ability to be able to share that in this day and age is really quite amazing.
I also like to share as in giving, so one of the things that I was inspired to do during
my juice adventure was to clean my house out. So, I got rid of a lot of a lot of things
that weren't serving me in my life. And an example of that would be, I had a whole closet
full of shoes. Some shoes, they are in perfect condition, I'd only worn them once or twice,
and I'm not gonna wear them again soon.
03:40 S1: I've changed, and they don't suit my style. So I boxed all these shoes up, and
I spoke to a girl at work who has the most expensive shoe wardrobe I've ever seen. And
I asked her, "Would you... Do you want my shoes? I'm not going to use them. I could
give them to the second-hand store, but you might get some pleasure at them." And she
was so excited about me even thinking of her to give her these shoes. So I brought the
box of shoes into work and I gave them to her. And she took them home. Only one or two
pairs fit her, but she shared them with other people, and just that... You might have something
that's not serving you anymore and you could have the ability to give it to somebody else.
And it could just open up and change their day. And that gift of simply sharing or giving
is invaluable. You can't put money on it. So, I am...
04:40 S1: It's my thought to ask everybody to share something this weekend. So, even
if it's just a story that you're gonna share with your child or there's something that's
in your closet that's not serving you anymore. And you can share it with somebody else, you
give it to them. It really is an amazing thing to be able to share. So, that's my thoughts
for this weekend.
05:04 S1: We've got some exciting things coming up. We're gonna go to the Great Barrier Reef.
So, for all of those American viewers out there, I'm gonna take you to the Great Barrier
Reef. We're gonna go out on a private boat and we're gonna... Yeah. I'm scared of the
water so we're both gonna get over our fear of the water and we're gonna go to the Great
Barrier Reef and check it out. So that'll be exciting. We're also gonna go on a road
trip. So we're gonna drive from Cairns to Townsville, and I've never done that before
either, so that will be a first for all of us. And then we're gonna go to a place called
Magnetic Island and check that out. So I've never been there either. So, we've got some
fun times ahead of us, and I just wanna thank every one for watching me on this journey,
and I would love it if you shared your experiences. You know, leave a comment below, what do you
wanna see, where would you like to go. And hey, maybe we can go to and hey maybe we can
go there together. So, love you lots. Speak to you soon. Bye.
