On behalf of Expert Village I'm Safi Thomas from the Hip Hop Dance Conservatory here in
NYC. Today we're going to bring you reggae dance hall moves. So now as dance hall makes
progression into the United States which was in the late 70s you had people like, what
really made it popular over here where people like DJ Cool Hurk. It was DJ Cool Hurk what
he was learning relations to dance hall in Jamaica and brought it over here and it was
actually developed into one of the biggest foundations of hip hop dance. Because of that
dance hall here on the east coast is a dance a little bit differently. There are people
in Brooklyn called flex dancers what they start to integrate what they did in Brooklyn
they started to integrate hip hop elements into dance hall. So you have popping in dance
hall, waving in dance hall and it all comes together as an art form to itself so now we're
going to go through some of the elements within east coast dance hall.
