today we will make makhana kheer.
makhana kheer can be served during vrat or whenever you feel like eating kheer.
let's see what all ingredients are required for making makhana kheer.
milk - 1 liter (5 cups)
makhana - 2 cups
sugar - 100 grams (75 grams if you feel like eating less sweet) (less then 1/2 cup)
almonds - 8-10
raisins - 1 tbsp
green cardamom - 6-7
firstly we will cut makhana.
take one makhana and make 4-5 pieces.
roast chopped makhanas.
add 1 tsp ghee in pan
if you have non stick pan then roast makhanas as it is.
stir constantly and roast for 3-4 minutes until they turn little brown in color.
meanwhile boil milk.
cut almonds and dry fruits.
milk has started boiling now add makhana into it.
add almonds along.
add raisins as well.
cook kheer on low flame until it gets thick consistency.
make powder from green cardamom as wel.
don't cover the kheer while cooking.
keep stirring after every 2 minutes else milk may burn.
cook for 10 minutes as it is.
kheer is ready and add sugar and cardamom into it.
turn off the gas.
delicious makhana kheer is ready.
prepare makhana kheer whenever you have sweet tooth.
