It's finally here! The news you've been waiting for that might
just change your life forever. This exciting piece of info will come in the
form of both an email and a yellow envelope. In this you'll find an offer from USQ along
with all the details. Next you'll need to accept the offer -- you
should do this through the same place that you applied to.
So if you applied through QTAC, accept through QTAC.
You've been accepted, brilliant, but there are still a few more important steps you need
to take before you begin your journey. After you receive your initial acceptance
letter another envelope will arrive containing everything you need to get started... a letter
of enrolment, a pack with your Student Relationship Officer's card with their number and email
and you'll also receive your student username and password.
Now before we move on, who exactly are these SROs we keep talking about?
I have a great team at USQ. The SROs have helped me work some study schedules out.
Each student is allocated an SRO. We support students -- they ring up with different enquiries,
everyone is different. We help them enrol, extensions for assignments if they can't get
a hold of a lecturer. Your next step is to enrol.
This part is important because you have to manually enrol in each individual course per
semester. As far as choosing courses, your program will
have a recommended enrolment pattern that shows the courses you should be studying each
semester. It's a fairly simple process -- you can log
on and pick 'n' choose how you want to study -- online, on campus, full-time, part-time
-- it's your call! Click away. Don't worry if you change your mind about
your chosen mode of study -- you can change it any time before census date ... And remember,
you're ALWAYS welcome on campus. If you're having any trouble there's plenty
of help available. You'll find demos and an enrolment guide on our website, but if you'd
prefer to talk to someone then feel free to drop your SRO a line, they're always happy
to lend a hand. Now you're almost there. The only other thing
you need to do is activate your UMail account. This is where we'll send all your important
student information. On your letter of enrolment you'll find a
unique username and password, login with this, follow the prompts and you'll be fine. If
you lose this info contact us. And that's it! You're all set to go! Any questions?
You know what to do -- contact your SRO.
