Hi, I’m Monica from Close To My Heart. Today I want
to show you how you can use the My Creations® Kraft
Pocket album to keep your cherished memorabilia for
years to come. The kraft pocket album is a hardbound
album with kraft cardstock pockets on every page
that can be embellished with stamping, paper, and
accessories. There are many ways to use the kraft
pocket album including to keep your child’s artwork,
report cards, and other school mementos, as a photo
album or even to hold your holiday cards which is
what I’m going to be showing you today, how I’m
using this beautiful kraft album to hold my holiday
cards. And I’m going to show you how I made this
cute title using the Artiste Cartridge and our
Cricut® machine. I’ve already loaded my Olive
cardstock paper onto my mat and I’ve typed in my
letters “Christmas.” So if you look at the title of
that, the letters are really tight together so they
are individually entered into the key pad. So I’ve
already entered it in, so I’m gonna make sure to
manually push the button down about 8 times so the
blade goes down about an inch and then I’m going to
hit “cut.” (cutting) So we sped that up for you to save
time, but I’m going to hit the “unload mat” button so you
can see how the “Christmas” was actually cut out.
And here we go. I’m just going to show you right
here. Just peel that back and you can see that
that’s where the negative space comes out. And I’m
leaving the R out at the little middle part as well
as the A, just for style preference. So I’m going to
put that down. I’ve already got one pre-cut right
here. You can see right there and I’ve dovetailed
this part so I’m going to dovetail the other side.
I’ll get my micro-tip scissors and my little trick
on dovetail is I cut down the center and then go in
from the sides. And I feel like that really gives me
a nice clean dovetail. You can see right there. All
right, now I’ve got one more step that I need to do
and that’s to stamp the word “cards” using the
Keepsake Alphabet stamp set, uppercase alphabet
stamp set. So here I’ve got my C loaded first. Most
people would say load up all your letters and do it
much faster that way and have them stamp at once.
But I like to put them really close together,
touching almost, because I’m using such a small
strip of paper, so I’m individually stamping each
letter. So I’m going to ink my C up first in my
Olive ink. And I’m going to put that down right here
and then I’ll take that off, put on my A and
stamp it right next to it. I’m gonna get that in
there. Here we go, we’re going to ink the A up and
now I can see exactly where I’m stamping and putting
it right next to it so it will be right close. That
will be really cute. So to save on time, we’re gonna
go ahead and start layering. And here I’ve got a
blank album. Put it down here and I’m gonna use this
beautiful red ornament that was cut from the Art
Philosophy using our Cricut® machine as well. And
I’ve got my Tombow® adhesive. Just gonna put a
little bit of adhesive, it doesn’t really require a
whole lot since I’m going to be layering on top of
this ornament. So I’m going to center that right on
my cover. And then my next step is putting down the
White Daisy cardstock which is gonna be the negative
of my Christmas title. So again, a little more
Tombow® adhesive. Here we go and we’ll just stick
that right down on the middle of the ornament. Okay.
And now I’ve got my beautiful Christmas letters. You
can see how that fits perfectly on there as well.
And then I’ve got the Ruby Chevron Ribbon. We’ll
stick that down. So you get the idea of how it all
kind of comes together. I’ve got...put my title on
here and then one really beautiful aspect of my
cover is this adorable stamp set here. I’ve used the
Yuletide Greetings stamp set. This cute design right
here. And then we’ll layer those two. And I’ve
added, um, some 3-D Foam Tape to give it a little
bit more pop. And then of course, you’re gonna want
to finish with our beautiful Sparkles. So that is
how our album comes together. What a great album to
store all of your holiday cards. If you would like
