Hey Dale Snale here.
I've had this Columbia Omni-Tech jacket now for about a month and
We just got done riding for three days.
We're up at Alpine Meadows today.
The jacket is really awesome.
It's a two part system.
So you got the outer shell.
I don't have them zipped together right now.
Because it was kinda hot today.
It's got this silver lining in it.
It really stays warm.
At first when got it I thought..."this thing is too tight on me.
It's too form fitting unlike a regular jacket.
I'm gonna need more layers underneath."
But you really don't need many layers.
Today I've got a polypro underneath and another themal.
So I've got two thermals on and then just the system.
And it was averaging 20-25F degrees today.
So it did really great.
I've also used the liner quite a bit by itself.
It's super stylish...at least me wife thinks so (laughs).
And the liner is just awesome.
One of the really weird things about it
and I don't know if it's designed to do this...
(*** *** *** -- firecrackers)
Crazy kids over there...
Is that when I go inside I don't automatically get hot
and have to take it off.
On New Year's we went to a show at a theater
and it was really cold out.
I got inside and left it on.
It was just right. So it's really good that way.
I've also used it as a liner underneath
my motorcycle jacket when I ride.
I've done a couple rides: One where it was 25F degrees.
It was actually below freezing but a dry day
and it was awesome.
I did a 40 mile ride at 32F degrees and
it's much better than the stock liner
that came with my motorcycle jacket
so it's super recommended for that.
And uh, yeah I just love it.
It's just awesome!
So, this is a Columbia Omni-Tech Thermal Reflective and
(laughing) I left the tag on but I didn't read anything about it
because I just wanted to feel how it works for me.
And not play into the hype and placebo myself.
I'm quite thrilled with the jacket.
I think it's a great purchase.
Used it in the rain. Used it in the snow.
Used it in just bitter cold and it's been awesome.
