This website is a resource for NTID students who are cross-registered into one of RIT’s other eight colleges.
"Cross-registered students" might be a new term to you. It describes Deaf students who are registered into say, the College of Liberal
the College of Business, the College of Applied Science and Technology.
That’s my college -- GO CAST!
Cross-registered students typically need access services such as captioning, notetaking, or interpreting.
These services may be requested from the Department of Access Services myaccess.rit.edu website.
This website has general information about DAS and the services that they provide. You can find information here about how to
interpreting, captioning, or notetaking services and can share feedback or ideas with service providers.
There’s a section on Student Perspectives too. This section has videos of veteran students who have found solutions to some
of RIT classes. You can find a DAS staff directory there.
This is a great resource if you are working with a DAS service provider and you just can’t remember their name.
The directory has pictures of all DAS staff along with contact information.
DAS has an Instant Messenger (IM) account with the username NTIDACCESS.
You can contact DAS through this account to let them know if you can’t attend class, share last-minute room changes,
and inquire about services if you are waiting for a service provider.
